Unplug, Unwind and Relax.

Spending the day with friends at Spa Montage Laguna Beach always recharges my batteries. So, a small group of my friends try to book a visit every few months to treat ourselves and catch up with a Spa Day. We all have busy lives and it’s the perfect time to get some special attention. In addition, we get to eat yummy food and bask in the sun. The Warming Ginger Massage is amazing. Because we always enjoy making use of the amazing spa facilities, we try to spend the entire day at the spa. So, be sure to check out the eucalyptus steam room and the waterfall whirlpool. And I love lounging fireside in the relaxation room and reading a magazine. Also, don’t forget to sample the assortment of teas, nuts and delicious dark chocolate.

Dining

We often dine poolside and order off the Mosaic Bar & Grill menu, which offers a wide variety of choices from tacos to salads to sandwiches. So, I highly recommend trying the seasonal soup and the lobster salad, which features lobster, mango, grapefruit, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, tossed in a citrus vinaigrette. Or for more formal dining, I suggest ordering the hummus and the chicken piccata at The Loft.

Shopping

Before the end of your spa day, be sure to stop and shop at the spa boutique. My favorite indulgences are the super soft microfiber robes and wraps from Wrap Up by Valerie Perez. I treated myself to the embellished Pink Marrakesh Robe and the Pearl Maximum Pink Wrap. I love to take the robe along on my travels, it is super cozy. And the wrap is perfect to wear in the morning while I put on makeup and do my hair.
