A visit to London without stopping at Harrods is out of the question.
Harrods is one of the world’s most famous department stores. It is stocked full of luxury clothing, food, gifts and accessories.
Harrods is quite overwhelming on your first visit. The outside is exquisite with their motto engraved on the building’s pediment. It says Omnia, Omnibus, Ubique which translates to Everything, for everyone, everywhere. While their product assortment is not quite as extensive as it once was, you can still find items like caviar, eighteenth-century dinnerware and giant teddy bears (one of my favorites). Visiting Harrods is not a quick trip. Plan on several hours to really taken in the architecture, decor and the items available for purchase.
The Food Hall
A favorite area of mine is the Food Hall on the lower level which is absolutely enthralling. Aside from ultimate foodie gifts, they provide catering services, chefs for hire and cheese concierge. It really is one place you do not want to miss!
